Turkish police have detained six people in connection with the 2003 al Qaeda bombings in Istanbul, which killed 63 people.
The six suspects were led away for questioning after what was described as a routine operation.
Earlier, seven militants including a Syrian al Qaeda member were sentenced to life in prison for their connection with the same terrorist attacks.
In 2003, trucks carrying explosives were crashed into two synagogues, killing dozens of people. A further bombing at the British consulate and outside an HSBC bank killed another 30.
Two years ago, 34 men were found guilty of a variety of charges linked to the attacks.
